Dryflow AquaDry
The Dryflow Aquadry is a tap and dryer system for positioning over sinks, so the hand washing and drying process can be completed in one place. These types of dryers have the advantage of ensuring floors stay dry and there is no waiting for the hand dryer in busy locations. This type of system was invented and popularised by the Dyson Wash+Dry system, however lower cost options need to enter the market in order to democratise their use over standard hand dryers.
Does the Dryflow Aquadry offer the value to achieve this?

The Dryflow AquaDry - Value
At a headline price of around £800 they are £450 cheaper than the Dyson Wash+Dry and carry a longer guarantee.
A tap and dryer of this quality, bought separately, would cost around £550 - £600 but you would lose the advantage offered by this product of over the sink drying.
We are told large projects are subject to significant discounts, so the AquaDry does represent a value solution for large facilities.
The Dryflow AquaDry - Appearance
This has the look and feel of a premium product, befitting a high-level architectural design. The solid brass chrome-plated and black options look elegant and robust.
The Dryflow AquaDry - Dry Speed
The manufacturer states 10-15 seconds. We found it consistently delivered between 13-15 second dry times.
The Dryflow AquaDry - Energy Efficiency
The energy efficiency of a dryer is measured by two things: rated power and dry speed.
The Dryflow Aquadry has a rated power between 0.7 kW and 1.2 kW with heater element (only needed in cold locations). Which means the unit consumes between 1.94 - 3.33 Wh per dry.
For context, the Dyson Airblade AB14 uses 4.44 Wh per dry, a traditional warm-air dryer uses 20-30 Wh, and the best available uses 1-2 Wh.
At current tariffs you can dry roughly 2571 pairs of hands for just £1, this is a 93% saving against paper towels.
The Dryflow AquaDry - Quiet Operation
The Dryflow AquaDry - Vandal Resistance
As most of the components are behind panels, the opportunities to tamper with the AquaDry are very low. The only visible part of the device is the tap and air outlet, which are made of a very thick, coated brass.
The Dryflow AquaDry - Life Expectancy
3000 hours is the stated, tested motor life which is around 772,000 dries based on a conservative 14 second dry time. This is one of the longer lasting dryers on the market. The sensor tap is mains operated so will continue to work as long as the sensor is clean and functioning.
An exceptional 7-year warranty is provided and it’s also backed by Dryflow’s free repairs for life warranty.
The Dryflow AquaDry - Conclusion
The AquaDry tap and dryer is a beautiful and effective bit of kit, ideal for high traffic washrooms like stadiums and airports that need as many dryers as sinks because they are always in use. It would also be a great addition to a premium fit-out in prestigious locations.
The Aquadry prevents water on the floors and reduces commercial cleaning requirements. The sensor tap is robust and responsive, the dryer is long-life and high performance. Keeping water and energy use low.
An excellent and affordable alternative to the Dyson Wash+Dry series.
