A hand dryer with a drip tray that doesn’t need emptying – a facility managers dream product?

2019 Update *** This version is available on request, please see here for the standard version. ***

Water drip trays in hand dryers are a great way to make sure floors stay dry when using a blade style hand dryer.  There are many hand dryers that now come equipped with a drip tray.  These were introduced as a result of the mess created when the early blade style hand dryers were launched.  With no drip tray, the excess water runs down the side of the trough and ends up pooling on the floor.  Then you have to mop it up at regular intervals because it becomes a health and safety issue.

There are now attachments available that can be retrospectively added to models such as the Dyson Airblade AB14, which do not include a water collection system.  These have made life easier for facility management teams, as the need to mop up the water on the floor is minimised.

Although the hand dryers with drip trays are popular due to the reasons mentioned above, they still require an element of servicing, with the trays having to be monitored on a regular basis to empty and clean.

Hand dryers that can evaporate excess water have looked to overcome this time-consuming task, with the domestic team now able to leave the unit alone, safe in the knowledge that the water that enters it will be dispersed automatically, never to be seen again.  And they didn’t have to do a thing!

Where can you find such a hand dryer?

The Dryflow Vapordri, one of the fastest drying hand dryers in the World (we’ve done the testing), includes a patented water evaporation system.  As soon as water enters the hand dryer it sets to work. Heating up the water droplets and vaporising them before they have chance to settle. The heating of the water is made by a very energy efficient 50W heater element.

No water on the floor or walls and every user shocked by the speed in which their hands have dried.

For those of you thinking about misuse or breakdown and the potential for flooding, don’t worry. The Vapordri is one step ahead of you.  A safety mechanism is included for such an event.  So, if someone does decide it would be a good idea to pour water into the unit, or in fact the evaporating system malfunctions, the excess water is guided outside the hand dryer so that it doesn’t damage it.  OK so now you have a problem with water on the floor, but better than a hand dryer which is flooded and unusable!

What a great product.  No wet floors and no time wasted looking after it!

Is this a hygienic hand dryer?

We all know that hand dryers are hygienic, however there are additional features in some hand dryers that advance this hygiene further.

The inclusion of a HEPA filter in a hand dryer is now common place.  These trap bacteria and germs before they enter the hand dryer. Preserving the inside of the unit as well as making sure the air blown onto the hands has been sieved of unwanted microbes.  The HEPA filter included in the Dryflow Vapordri has been certified to reduce >99.5% microbes from the intake of air.

The heated cycle of the water vaporiser and airflow heater element sterilises the insides of the machine also.  All plastic parts are made of antibacterial ABS, which is injected with silver ions that prevent the growth of bacteria, fungi and mould.

You’ll love this one

We believe the Dryflow Vapordri ticks every box from a facilities management point of view.  It is extremely compact, it gets washroom traffic flowing quickly, it doesn’t require any extra servicing, it keeps walls and floors dry and the costs to run due to it’s energy efficiency is negligible.

What’s not to love about it?
