The Prestige Vanity Top Soap Dispensers have an elegant and prestigious design and are recommended for washroom basin tops, kitchen counter tops, bath sides and hair salon tops. IFS739-100 offers a discrete alternative to wall mounted dispensers. Minimum space is required, yet the 1000ml container is suitable for high use washrooms. The spout can be positioned to hang into wash basins and avoid soap residue on surfaces with a drip free pump action. The spout will not rotate once installed. Hard wearing and corrosion resistant materials ensure the product has a long-life. Two spout lengths are available: 100mm and 127mm. You are viewing the 100mm spout length.

Technical Description

AISI 304 polished chrome spout with brass housing fits above counter top, the 1000ml capacity polypropylene container is concealed under the counter top. The dispenser requires a minimum 25mm hole drilled through surface. Press-down, spring-loaded pump mechanism delivers single 2ml shot of liquid soap. Refill access is through a special key that allows the piston and spout to be removed enabling easy, above the counter filling.

Regarding soap dispensers in accessible toilets, what do English regulations recommend?

Approved Document M mentions two matters that would affect soap dispensers: contrast and location.

1) Bathroom fittings must have enough contrast among them and with the floor or walls, so that people with visual impairments or other conditions (dementia) can distinguish them.

Every surface has a LRV (light reflectance value) score. The difference between two finishes should be at least 30 points according to Document M. For example, white (85) can be combined with brushed stainless steel (45), but not with beige (70).

2) Several drawings illustrate in Document M how the toilet appliances and accessories have to be placed and at what distances. Diagram number 19 describes a unisex wheelchair-accessible toilet with a corner WC. As you can see, the soap dispenser (SD) is located above the washbasin, at 800-1000mm from the floor.

For what these regulations say about taps, we can also conclude that soap dispensers should be easily operated by all type of users.

This information has been shared following the Open Government License v3.0 of Document M.

Which soap dispenser to choose in order to save costs?

We've gathered in this blogpost how to calculate the expenses and which factors bear in mind when choosing a soap dispenser.

What are the pros and cons of each finish?

We have written a blogpost about it. Please, click here.

Why to choose a counter mounted soap dispenser?

As we explain in this blog post, we think there are mainly three reasons to select vanity top soap dispensers over wall mounted.

  • A more accurate dispense, with little chance to missing soap shots and wasting the consumable.
  • A cleaner area that will be quicker to maintain.
  • Less wasted soap, which save costs for the facilities and the environment.
