Using an Allen key at the mixer lever, you can set the maximum water temperature. The temperature can also be fixed and the mixing lever completely removed via a conversion set. Not only a great safety feature, but also allows control of energy savings.
The Water Supply (Water Fittings) Regulations or Scottish Byelaws require that a water fitting should not cause waste, misuse, undue consumption or contamination of the water supply and must be of an appropriate standard. The WRAS approval gained by this tap demonstrates complete compliance with this.
For peak performance the recommended water pressure used is 3 bar. However, there’s a degree of flexibility to suit a host of locations with a minimum and maximum water pressure range between 1bar and 10bar.
For enhanced sanitary purposes, an automatic hygiene flush comes as default. This can be switched on or off. It activates after 24h of non-use with a flow running for 30 seconds after this inactive period to flush out any stagnant water. The settings of the hygienic flush, such as the activation period after non-use (hours) and the flow duration (seconds) can be customised via an optional extra remote control.
To prevent vandalism and misuse, the tap has an automatic shutdown after continuous sensor activation, which is 60 seconds as standard.
Franke F5E-Mix F5EM1003 is a WRAS approved electronic pillar-tab self-closing mixer tap with high polished chromium-plated brass finish. It includes an opto-electronic sensor, deck mounted using a taphole type. The spout has a 125 mm projection into the washbasin area. Mains supplied using 100 - 240 V AC, installation in the wall with power connection to the bottom of the product. Recommended water pressure is 3 bar (1 – 10 bar range) giving an aerated flow rate of 4.8lpm. Internal diameter of pipe is DN15 with a connector size of G3-8. Protective shutdown included with a continuous flow time of 60 seconds. Default automatic hygiene flushing which will activate after 24 hours of non-use. Further parameters can be set and data gathering can be achieved via an optional extra remote control.
