Improving the air quality we breathe indoors can improve our health. It's said that we spend more than 90% of our time indoors breathing up to 50 times more polluted air than outdoors which may contain over 900 chemicals, particulate and biological materials, viruses and bacteria.
The filters of an air purifier will remove airborne contamination and allergens such as dust, pollen, animal dander, dust mites, tobacco smoke, traffic fumes and more.
The Vent-Axia PureAir Room Air Purifier 260 uses an advanced 6 stage filtration system (see FAQ's below for more info) that removes these harmful substances from the air, neutralising bad smells and leaving you with clean, purified air to breathe.
The filter life is displayed when you turn on the unit showing you the percentage of use you have remaining before needing to change the filter.
It can be as loud as 45dB(A) similar to a modern dishwasher or low discussion in a library, but also has a sleep mode where the fan works at the lowest speed with minimal noise.

The air passes through the following before exiting the unit purified.
1. Washable Pre-Filter
The first layer is there to protect the HEPA filter from larger particles, therefore increasing the life of it
2. HEPA Filter
The ‘High-Efficiency Particulate Air’ filter removes 99.9% of particles in the air including PM 2.5, pet allergens, pollen, viruses, mould and bacteria by trapping them inside the filter material.
3. Activated Carbon Filter
Volatile organic compounds (VOCs), odours and other gaseous pollutants are the next to be removed, being trapped by the carbon filter layer
4. Cold Catalyst Filter
Any organic compounds that have made it through the previous layers are turned into H2O and CO2, which is harmless to humans, using a cold catalyst filter
5. Ultraviolet Light
Just for good measure, short-wavelength ultraviolet light safely disinfects the air and kills bacteria and viruses
The final process generates negatively charged ions which enter the room and cause smaller particles to cluster to each other. These larger clusters enter the air purifier at stage 1 and are easily dealt with by the filtration system
